Music is universal but culture is culture. Music is one of the things that helps to make up cultures because it is one of the oldest forms of storytelling and even communication in the world besides oral storytelling. But y’all are really sitting on Beyoncé’s internet saying Doechii is making Harriet Tubman music and that Kendrick makes protest music….AND YOU’RE FR! Music is political and it always will be. If it wasn’t governments wouldn’t be mobilizing to ban certain songs throughout history. Now that we got that out of the way: since when has Kendrick made only songs about Black struggle and that call out racism??? And invoking Harriet Tubman’s name as an insult over a song about Doechii finding out that her old boo cheated on her with another guy??? Tell me you don’t know how to pay attention to lyrics without telling me you don’t know how to pay attention to lyrics. Y’all have let these new rappers who only wanna rap about being sad and how many cars they have really get to y’all’s heads. Cuz that’s still rap, without a doubt, but too many of y’all are showing that you don’t know what rap or hip hop are at their core. Especially these white hip hop heads who always got something to say thinking that their opinions are important. Like don’t piss me off.

Have you any polish rap? I've heard 2 songs and am looking for more
judging by the fact you're not super acquainted with it, the standard recommendation would probably be to put you on O.S.T.R.

"Ol Dirty Bastard he's the artist different from all other artists and hes not me, as we speak I'm Unique Ason, that's what my name is, Ol Dirty Bastard comes in the part when I'm onstage, he's like the incredible Hulk, you know what i'm saying? when he comes he's like a superhero, he come to entertain, he comes to put spirit in the People.." from his documentary Ol' Dirty Bastard: A Tale of Two Dirtys (2024)
In this photo you see his energy and persona in effect but this photo was by design, he claimed the room wasn't messed up enough, so he sent the assistant to get some beer to pour out and more blunts to scatter them over the floor, he took the TV and stereo and stacked them up on each other, took his shirt off and said he was ready now.

There’s this white person on TikTok demanding to know what rap album deserves a Pulitzer and I just…y’all’s attitude towards rap and the way yall treat it as an art form is why Black ppl feel some type of way about white ppl every time yall open your mouths to speak on. You’re disrespectful and a good majority of the time yall don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re uneducated and racist. Yes I said racist, cuz calling classical music sophisticated in the same breath is unacceptable. Yall do this with every Black genre. Spirituals, jazz, swing, the blues, country, and rock n roll to name a few were considered “devils music” and “unsophisticated” until white ppl started doing it. Then it was the greatest thing in the freaking world. Once a colonizer always a colonizer I guess.🙄

Hey there! So, I took a quick listen to Dominique Young Unique's new EP "Domination," and I gotta say, it's a pretty wild ride. With just six tracks, she manages to pack in a whole lot of energy and attitude. It's like she took a bunch of genres, threw them in a blender, and hit the "create chaos" button. The standout track for me is "F*ck It Up," which is just pure, unapologetic fun. It's the kind of song that makes you want to grab a megaphone, run around your neighborhood, and yell "F*ck it up!" at the top of your lungs. Overall, "Domination" is a solid EP that showcases Dominique Young Unique's unique style and energy. If you're in the mood for something loud, unapologetic, and a little bit crazy, this is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared to have some serious earworms stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Oh, and one more thing: make sure to turn up the volume, because this EP is meant to be played LOUD!
